Job Description

We are seeking skilled individuals to help produce innovative digital offerings that will improve the lives of Stockport’s citizens.

Ideally, you will have experience of supporting the SAP ECC 6.0 financial package:

You will work in conjunction with the SAP developer, customising and supporting SAP to achieve the council’s business goals.

You will support the Financial Systems admin team and user base with 3rd line SAP support issues.

Produce functional specifications for new reports and programs

Troubleshoot SAP issues

Understand Segregation of Duties issues, Roles, and Authorisation, to ensure a secure financial management system.

Work with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance

While working in a small team you will be a self-starter capable of problem solving on your own initiative, making use of online information, training, forums blogs etc.

Working in an agile team you will be involved in the following:

  • Projects to integrate existing systems
  • Develop and support bespoke software applications
  • Support testing and quality assurance
  • Participate in the creation of functional and technical specifications
