Stockport’s DigiKnow Alliance partners are getting together to celebrate digital for everyone! DigiFest is a festival of digital culture and innovation as part of Stockport’s year as Town of Culture. We’ve organised activities to inspire and empower people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the benefits and opportunities of digital technology in different ways across Stockport.
DigiFest funding has helped to bring together unique experiences organised by Stockport’s DigiKnow network, who work together to help residents get online and overcome digital exclusion. We supported 14 local, voluntary, and social enterprise organisations to create different types of activities across the borough, and we’re very excited to see new residents learning about digital.
We’d love you to be involved. Many of the events are FREE to join, so please check out the DigiFest events calendar throughout February for event details and the full programme and spread the word.
And if you organise any digital activity in Stockport that fits within the Year of Culture themes of Makes, Sounds, Moves, Tastes, please let us know and we’ll make sure it’s included in our publicity.
#DigiFestSK is a superb way for people to explore being digital in creative ways and cross the ‘digital divide’ caused by digital exclusion. It will be a fun-filled February!
